The Driving Force Behind Canyon Meadows Auto Service
The dynamic duo of Chad and Clarence Stronge co-own Canyon Meadows Auto Service. Since establishing our current location in October 2005, their lifelong passion for automobiles has shaped our business. Chad, a natural car enthusiast from a young age, leveraged his wide-ranging experience as a technician since 1995 to drive our success. Clarence, a seasoned veteran in the auto industry, has always had an affinity for cars. Post-university, he pursued an automotive apprenticeship and has owned various auto repair shops across Calgary. Their joy in focusing solely on auto service is palpable in every facet of our operations.
Meet Our Team
Chad Stronge
Owner/Technician Licensed Technician & Interprovincial Red Seal CertifiedChad has lived in Calgary all his life and has owned Canyon Meadows Auto Service since 2005. A lifelong gearhead, Chad was able to point out different makes of cars as soon as he was old enough to talk. Chad has been in the auto industry since 1995 and has worked in all different types of service shops with extensive factory training. He is married with 3 children and is always furthering his automotive industry education from a technical or business standpoint. Chad is a huge outdoor enthusiast and enjoys racket sports, meditation, and yoga.
Clarence Stronge
Co-Owner/Technician Licensed Technician & Interprovincial Red Seal CertifiedClarence was born in small town Saskatchewan and was raised in Regina. Always an automotive enthusiast, he repaired his father’s manual transmission in the backyard when he was 15 years old. After spending some time in University Clarence realized that fixing cars was going to be his calling. He has owned different repair shops since 1977.
Mark
Interprovincial Red Seal Certified Licensed Automotive Service TechnicianA native Calgarian, Mark has worked at Canyon Meadows Auto since March 2013. Mark is married and has 2 grown sons. Mark has extensive experience in the auto industry having been working on cars since the mid 1970’s. Mark knows all makes from a Ferrari to a Ford like the back of his hand. He still owns the first car he ever had that he got when he was 15 years old, and restored it completely to win multiple “Best in Show” awards among other awards at the World of Wheels. Mark also loves riding horses and hockey.
Don
Service Advisor- Licensed TechnicianDon has been with Canyon Meadows Auto Service since Feb 2020. Don is a licensed technician, who has vast amounts of experience in the tire industry. His favorite part of the auto industry is the changes in cutting edge electronics technology. Don loves working with people, and has a special affinity for working with elderly persons. He is married with 3 grown children. In his spare time he enjoys camping, boating, and working on car projects at home.
Scott
Red seal licensed Automotive Service TechnicianScott is originally from The Rock! Port Aux Basques, Newfoundland. Scott has been with Canyon Meadows Auto since May/21. He began working on cars in a friend’s fathers shop at a very young age. Scott likes to joke that he was the assistant manager of the shop as there were only 2 of them that worked there. Scott moved to Nova Scotia just before adulthood and began an automotive apprenticeship. East coasters always make the best technicians due to their ability to deal with rust issues, and Scott is no exception. He transplanted to Calgary and completed his apprenticeship. Scott is father to a 9 year old son. He is an electrical wizard, and an avid golfer. Scott’s favorite part about the auto industry is helping people with their vehicles to get back on the road as quickly and safely as possible.
Brent
Technician Licensed Technician & Interprovincial Red Seal CertifiedBrent has been with us since November of 2016. Originally from Calgary, Brent started working on cars at the young age of 13 years. He always knew exactly what he wanted to do with his lifelong passion for cars. Brent went professional with his career right out of high school and worked very hard to earn his Interprovincial Red Seal Certification soon after. At the end of his education he won the deans award for top marks in his class and went on to compete provincially in technical competitions with Automotive Service Technicians across the province and won gold. After that he went on to compete nationally and ranked very high. Brent is an industry leading automotive electrical specialist. In his spare time Brent plays the guitar, likes the outdoors, and spending time with family.
